The DReAM becomes reality. DReAM, a revolutionary new digital textile printing machine, increases printing speed more than 10-fold from 10-20 square meters to a maximum of 230 square meters per hour. The DReAM, presented by Reggiani Macchine S.p.A., HP-Scitex and Huntsman Textile Effects, meets the growing need in the fashion industry for medium runs and faster times to market. The new printing machine is suitable for all textile applications, particularly high fashion items, and is launched in three models: 1.60 m, 2.20m and 3,40m wide.
The DReAM features two unique innovations: firstly, it combines Reggiani’s well-known substrate-conveying system, which holds the fabric accurately in position, with HP-Scitex Vision’s Aprion six-color inkjet heads; secondly, it uses completely novel printing inks, developed by Huntsman Textile Effects for the new high-speed system purposely.
